Beacon Awarded "Bob Smith Award"
from United Way of Huntington County

The Bob Smith Award is given in memory of the late Bob Smith. Bob was an advocate of United Way and its work in Huntington County for over 30 years. Each year, as campaign time rolled around, Bob would ask his employees to give and because of his strong example of leadership, most did not hesitate. In his perspective, giving his time and resources was never a question—it was just the right thing to do.

Beacon Credit Union was awarded the "Bob Smith Award" for our work with two other area financial institutions to plan the first annual Bingo Event. The event alone brought in over $2,200 for the United Way Campaign.
